The EurekaConnect Entrepreneurial Forum (ECEF) provides and applies best practices to create and leverage solutions for the current and ever-changing landscape and market needs.  We help innovators from industry and academia bring ideas and companies to market by providing them with best practices along the way. The first step is achieved through our relationship with the Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship (IBE).  We work with a network of entrepreneurs testing, refining and advancing their ideas.  The initial phase of interaction is through the intensive 5-day training program that allows them to develop and test their idea while working with industry experts from all areas of industry including but not limited to clinical, regulatory, reimbursement, market capture, market entry, portfolio integration.  

Capital Strategy: We help clients with a comprehensive approach to maximizing returns while minimizing risk.  We connect our network of experts together with innovators from industry and young companies to engage in key strategic partnerships and collaboration with a focus on raising, investing, and managing capital to achieve short-term and long-term financial goals. EC specializes in bringing in resources to help startups with:

  1. Organizational Capital Structure: Determining the organization’s optimal mix of debt and equity financing. Source of Capital is also important. When possible, identify and secure strategic investors who understand the technology and opportunity.
  2. Organizational Capital Management: Ensuring that the organization has sufficient liquid capital to meet short-term operating needs while helping to plan for long-term success. 
  3. Risk Assessment: Analyzing financial risks associated with various financing and investment choices by bringing in industry experts to mitigate those risks.
  4.  Organizational Cost Management: Reviewing and controlling costs tied to capital-raising activities and investments. Ensuring long-term success through correct reporting.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that the capital strategy aligns with applicable laws and regulations governing financial practices.  This may include helping clients put experts in place to ensure long-term goals for going to market.

Business Consulting:

We help our clients by providing expert guidance in their fields to help with business areas that are necessary and key to success.  We have a diverse network with industry knowledge.  By using the ECBD program our understanding of the client and consultants bring an unbiased assessment and recommendations. This may include placement of executives or recruitment as necessary
 

  • Reimbursement Model: Who and how will the product be paid for? This is a must have given the dynamics of any market being targeted.
  • Go to Market Strategy: Is there a clear path to the clinical and patient. What are the resource and time dynamics that will impact uptake.
  • Patent Strategy- Develop a patent portfolio that increases value and protection.
  • Clear and Concise Problem Solution – ECEF helps the innovator understand the key market dynamics that will make or break the solution relative to a viable business model.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, identifying competitors, and assessing market opportunities. This can be accomplished using existing field experts and combined leveraging technologies.
