During the IBE program, we had the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals the essential components of building successful startups in the life-sciences field covering everything from financing and legal matters to regulatory requirements, leadership and communication styles. What was especially useful about the program was that there was a diverse cohort of participants, both culturally but also innovators from industry, academics and startup founders. What I will remember most about this program was the engaging and dynamic way in which both Curtis and Gregg Fairbrothers managed to convey dense amounts of key information in the short span of a week. I recommend that anyone working on a life sciences/biomedical-based business idea consider participating in this program, it is an enriching experience and an opportunity to expand both your mind and your network.
